Visions of Manhood, Inc. is a non-profit organization that actively and positively seeks opportunities to rebuild families and reshape our communities. Visions of Manhood, Inc. evolved out of the Male Responsibility Task Force, which was established as part of the Capital Area Healthy Start Coalition. It is the mission of Visions of Manhood, Inc. to serve as a beacon and guide for all males who are in need of support and/or encouragement to become more responsible and effective men and fathers. The purpose of Visions of Manhood, Inc. is to promote and support programs that enhance positive male involvement within families and the community, which is actualized through our goals of strengthening relationships, fostering communication and empowerment of male and youth participants.

Since it's inception in 1996, Visions of Manhood, Inc. has reached and provided services for over 4,000 males and 3,500 youth via its Programs and Projects. Although the Agency is open to assist all non-custodial parents, the majority of our clientele and participants are males. Visions of Manhood, Inc. has experience in working with a gamut of clients ranging from those with arrest histories, limited education, and employment barriers to those individuals who refuse to acknowledge paternity, accept responsibility, and deny engagement with the custodial. Currently, Visions of Manhood, Inc. offers three distinct types of programs which varies in intensity and subject matter. These programs include the Fatherhood Initiative Project Child Support, the Nurturing Fathers Program, and the Male Youth Responsibility Initiative Project.

It is through implementation of our prevention, intervention and involvement Programs that Visions of Manhood, Inc. strives to be a success in altering the mind set of our participants by creating opportunities for empowerment and enhancement.
